Bathurst, renowned for its motorsport legacy and close-knit community vibes, was the perfect place for Joel to begin his entrepreneurial journey. His family’s deep roots in the region, with their ownership of McGrath Motors, created a strong connection to the community and the Holden Racing Team (HRT). Opening the store in Bathurst allowed Joel to support local teams, races, and businesses, strengthening community ties and establishing mutual support.
